KNSI Aviation Engineering was established in 2014 as an EASA Approved Part 21 Subpart J Design Organization (DOA) and gained the EASA Part 21 Subpart G Production Organization Approval in 2015. KNSI acquired the EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organization Approval in 2016 and vastly expanded the design, production, and maintenance capabilities in the following years. After the Brexit in 2021, KNSI acquired the EASA equivalent UK CAA Part 21 Subpart J DOA, Part 21 Subpart G POA & Part 145 Approvals and in 2022 KNSI was able to obtain the new EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organization Approval (DOA) for the KNSI branch based in Ireland.
